Are You Building, Dwelling, or Destroying?
"Each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ." — 1 Corinthians 3:10-11
As you begin this new week, take a moment to reflect on the impact you have on the people and places around you. Every word you speak, every decision you make, and every action you take is building something.
The question for today is: *Are you a builder, a dweller, or a destroyer?*
A builder is someone who encourages, strengthens, serves, and brings hope. A builder uses their gifts, time, and influence to make a positive difference. A dweller is someone who simply remains comfortable, enjoying the benefits of what others have built without actively contributing. A destroyer tears down through negativity, discouragement, pride, criticism, or actions that create hurt and division.
God has called you to be a builder — a builder of faith, relationships, families, workplaces, and His Kingdom. Your words carry power. They can bring healing or hurt, courage or discouragement, unity or division.
As you step into this week, ask yourself:
What am I building through my attitude, my words, and my actions? Do I reflect Christ in the way I treat others? Am I leaving people stronger and more hopeful because they encountered me?
Choose today to build. Build with kindness. Build with grace. Build with love. Let your life be a reflection of God’s goodness and a blessing to those around you.
Prayer
✝️ Prayer: Dear Lord, as I begin this new week, help me to be a builder wherever You place me. Guide my words so they encourage, my actions so they serve, and my heart so it reflects Your love. Remove anything in me that tears down, and help me build what brings honour and glory to You. Amen! 🙏🏾 💫 May the Lord go before you this week and order your steps. May He give you wisdom in your decisions, grace in your relationships, and strength for every challenge you face. May your words bring encouragement, your actions bring hope, and your presence be a blessing to everyone you meet.
