Respect for All People.
“Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.” — 1 Peter 2:17
As you begin this new week, remember that every person you encounter is worthy of dignity and respect. Respect should not depend on someone’s position, wealth, education, age, background, or whether you agree with them.
Jesus showed compassion to those whom society overlooked and treated every person as valuable. We are called to do the same.
Sometimes respect is demonstrated in simple ways: listening without interrupting, speaking kindly, being patient, acknowledging others, and refusing to belittle anyone.
You may not always agree with people, and you do not have to accept wrong behaviour, but you can still choose to respond with grace, wisdom and dignity.
This week, may your words and actions reflect Christ. Treat everyone the way you would want to be treated.
Prayer
✝️ Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of a new day and a new week. Teach me to see every person through Your eyes and to treat others with kindness, dignity and respect. Guard my words, attitude and actions, and help me to be gracious even when I disagree with others. May my life reflect the love of Christ wherever I go. Amen!🙏🏾 💫 May the Lord go before you this Monday and throughout the week. May He give you wisdom in your decisions, grace in your interactions, patience in difficult moments and peace in your heart. May you give respect freely and receive kindness in return. May God protect you, guide your steps and cause all that you do this week to prosper according to His will.
